MISSION
Inspiring communities, changing destinies- this is the driving mission of ILE IFE. We strive to provide accessible and inclusive educational resources that ignite a transformative spark within individuals, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complexities of the modern world. Through collaborative learning ecosystems and vibrant communities, we aim to empower individuals to become catalysts for positive change in their communities.
Initiatives
Our initiatives are driven by the interests and passions of our dedicated staff, executive director and board members, as well as the needs present within our community. In 2020, during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched our first initiative. Recognizing the critical shortage of masks, we took it upon ourselves to make a difference. With fabric, sewing machines, and a strong sense of purpose, we handcrafted masks to provide a vital protective barrier. The impact of our efforts reached far and wide, starting with Turquoise Trail Charter School. As word spread through Facebook, requests flooded in, and we were able to distribute hundreds of free masks to essential workers who needed them the most. This initiative served as a testament to our commitment to the well-being and safety of our community, demonstrating the power of collective action and the profound impact we can achieve when we unite for a common cause. In a collaborative effort with local organizations, ILE IFE was able to provide 22 students with scholarships to obtain doula training through The Our Earth C.B.P.A training program. 2024 is shaping up to be a very prolific year for ILE IFE in terms of initiatives!
